WHEN YOU TAKE A PICTURE, YOU ARE TAKING SOMETHING

Barcelona is not the city where I started practicing street photography, but it’s definitely the place where I have settled my stile down and where I got most and my best experiences.

Barcelona, no doubt, is a special city, and among its streets infinite pictures are to be taken; let’s walk the streets!

As a street photographer I love to discover Barcelona from a different point of view. Getting lost on it’s streets is the best way to understand the real charm of this beautiful city. Each neighborhood hides a special flavor, and practicing photography can be totally a different experience from one to the other.

From Gracia to Barceloneta, from Sants to Poblenou, the opportunities are there and you just have to walk through the streets to capture them.

No doubt the development the city has suffered in the last centenary, specially with the innovation driven by Gaudi has made of this city one of the most interesting ones for street photographers. However, even I love to take pictures in the most iconic places, I always try to provide an alternative point of view; that’s why many times you will not find the most common images of Barcelona in my galleries.

KEEP WORKING ON YOUR STYLE

My street photography in Barcelona focuses most of the time in the people. Because people is on the streets, people is who gives live to a city, and people is the unpredictable and unique subject that can make your picture unique.

The buildings, Sagrada Familia and all those will always be there, and any of those pictures can be easily replicated at any time.

I always remember something my mum used to say:

Even if it is too dark, or too bright.
